Feds Ready Plan to Fight ID Theft

The federal government will release its plan to combat identity theft in the U.S. on Monday.

After nearly a year's work, the President's Identity Theft Task Force will release its findings Monday at a press event in the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) offices, the FTC said in a media alert.

I'm not holding my breath. I think the only way to combat it is to deport the illegal aliens. There will be less people that are committing this felony.

No. Identity theft occurs so the thief can use a false identity to obtain credit and buy things.

I assume you are referring to illegal documents being sold. The people that make those don't need to steal someone's identity. They simply make one up. It is much easier.

No. There's a difference between fake IDs and stolen ones. No one's going to report their fake ID was used by someone else.

We can always hope, but keep in mind that, big business still runs this country, the nuts in Washington still want the illegal alien vote, and Bush is still in charge.

The only thing that will help the problem is to get rid of them. I don't know how they figure they have rights when they are here illegally in the first place.

Actually we are ALL here illegally. This country was floated upon the genocide and slavery of many many peoples.

Might as well quit bitchin about what IS because what WAS was much more insidious.
