yes i know I am now too . I am feeding brown rice boiled chicken and hard boiled egg no salts or seasonings . Is it not sad that we have to do this because the dog food companies dont care weather or not they are killing our dogs . I just dont think the fda is telling us everything we need to know.

I pamper my puppy, but I don't think I could go that far. He has about 4 different types of dry food all mixed together and he also gets some fresh dog mince, the chicken rice and vegies dog rolls and fresh kangaroo tail to chew on for his teeth. I never give him the same combo as I gave him the night before - just cause I know I wouldn't want to eat that.
He gets plenty to chew snacks - his favourite are pigs ear and trotters and he is a happy little thing! but cooking for him? I hardly have the energy to cook for myself!!

My two dogs rarely have so-called dog food. I have some in reserve, just in case. But I prepare lean cuts of meat, salt-free veggies, and steamed white or brown rice for my guys every day. I also give them low-fat cheese. A daily supplemental vitamin is a must.

Roxy, I think my pets are hanging out at your house. They sound just like mine except mine has to sleep smack up against me when I sleep instead o stretch out. No matter where I sleep they are on top of me. I have also found carrying a lint brush in my car for friends who don't think of fur as a accessory is helpful.Thank heavens most of my friends have more then me. At the moment I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 1 foster cat at the moment, one foster staying at a vet till better and then will be home to recoup until that forever home finds him.

From the moment I started hearing about the pet food recalls I started making my dogs food. He loves it and I feel comfortable because I know what is going into his food. I have done a meat rice veggie mix and its been working great so far.

>>I am making her food now! It is so funny because she can hardly wait to get back inside in the morning to get to her breakfast now. She loves it!! I have a small dog, so the recipe I use made enough for about 20 meals. I have just frozen them. I do put a bit of dry (Innova Evo) in it too every day.

our dog will not eat dog food since our granddaughter fed him cooked food. she is 5 and she says it's healthvier for her big woveable dog. no i didn't misspell these by accident. that's how she talks about her dog Fudge. she loves that dog a lot so we let her feed him cooked food if that's what she wants for him. he's part lab and part rot and a big baby.
