Just gotta get a grip....

To answer your question, are you dying? YES... Am I dying, YES... Everyone will.. when it is time, and not one second before then.

Every second you waste worrying about if you are dying or not, is time that you could have spent enjoying LIFE... You can never get a second wasted back, so live every second as if it were the last, because eventually, it will be....

Panic attacks and "doom and gloom" thinking are common in the population, but are not considered to be "normal"

Seeing a Dr. is the thing to do -- it's just that you're missing the kind of Dr. you need to be seen by -- a psychologist or psychiatrist can be of immense help to you for your worries and for your panic attacks.

It's great that you are such a responsible dad and a hard worker. Do your whole family a favor - actually take the time necessary to tame your problems, get them under control, and learn new skills of dealing with your fears.

There is hope!

Panic Attacks: worst thing EVER!!! What I do when I start to have one is I stop whatever I am doing and watch Scrubs. It helps calm me down... Anxiety and Depression suck big time, especially if you know you have it, and know that the medicine isn't helping like you hoped it would. If I were you I would find something that comforts you...maybe a favorite hobby, music, or TV Show and just have it ready when you start feeling sad, angry or nervous. Kudos on being clean by the way.

When you have a severe panic attack it is not uncommon to feel as though you are dying. A good step would definitely seek help both medical and psychiatric to help cope with the attacks and hopefully treat them.

Anxiety can be treated, however it takes time and a lot of work., however it is the best thing you can do for yourself and your family.

Good luck.

Your body will hold up just fine. However, you are definitely, in my opinion, experiencing acute panic disorder....You will feel like you are dying...and it's psychological.... The crux is that psychological sickness CAN eventually make you physically ill.

Or, think of this--you might have a self-fulfilling prophecy....Do you secretly want to die? Think about it. The abuse of hard drugs, the fact that your father died when you were 16....Do you feel guilty to be alive?

Talk to someone...get some help.

And remember, life is for the living. Enjoy the world around you. We only go around once.

I think you just have panic/anxiety attacks. People who have anxiety/ panic attacks constantly think they are dying, and are sometimes scared of death. I think you should talk to a counselor, or a doctor, and maybe they will recommend some kind of medication, or maybe just someone you can talk to. I personally have had several anxiety attacks, and one time I had my mom drive me randomly to the hospital, because I felt chest pain, and other symptoms of an anxiety attack. I thought I was going to die, or that something was wrong with me, but it turns out I was just stressed from school, and all the pressure got to me.

Don't worry. I think you're fine, if you have had medical tests, etc.

It sounds like a combination of drug-fuelled paranoia and grief about your father's death. You need to think that you have to now live for your children and realise that you are not about to die. You should look after yourself and give as much to your children as you can. Good luck.

the symptoms you mentioned reveal that you are probably suffering from Personal Anxiety Disorder (PAD) associated with mild panic disorder. you have to consult a psychairtist for your cure ,it will take some time though ..with proper medicines as well as consultancy, psychotherapy and group discussion with other patients of your type,

Every man have to die sooner or later, but if you are dying then you would have died so many times during this period of your diseases.!.once died and and then once lived out from death!

A nice vacation will work.
You need time to think.
You just need time alone.

It seems your life is too busy at the moment. A time off for yourself would be perfect. Take the kids or not, however a vacation will be perfect. I suggest a cruise or something along the line :)
