North Korea and their nuke!

2007-04-21 17:37:14 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 3

Pakistan.

North Korea is locked in by Japan, Mainland China, and the ROK military. They can develop nukes all they want. The Russian Federation, Japanese, ROKs, and PRC are all nuclear powers. No matter what the DPRK does, they can't exceed the combined economic and military might of these neighbors.

Syria has enough trouble with Lebanon and the Iranians. Iran has enough problems dealing with sanctions, isolation, and hostile neighbors.

Pakistan on the other hand can't control its Northwest Frontier. Elements of its military actively funds and arms Taliban forces and provides them sanctuary. A huge chunk of western Pakistan is haven for criminal elements and terrorists, with the tacit compliance of the Pakistani government. The Pakistanis overthrew a democratically elected government, illegally tested nuclear weapons technology acquired from the Chinese, and exported that knowledge to North Korea.

If anything, the Pakistanis are providing the equivalent of a Ho Chi Minh trail for the Taliban and other Salafist scumbags. They aid and abet the enemy, while sucking up American aid in exchange for limited cooperation. American troops pursuing Taliban have shot it out with Pakistani border guards covering the Taliban retreat. The dictatorship in Pakistan is no friend of the United States.

I would love for the Indians to overrun Pakistan and bring it back to the fold. With friends like the Pakistanis, we don't need enemies.

Iran and North Korea but i think Korea wont do anything
i think attacking Iran will cause 2-3 times the casualties that we had i Iraq since there were actually some Iraqis that like the U.S and hated Saddam but in Iran none of them likes us and they have more land, more people and better Technology than Iraq in recent years

We are the most dangerous threat.....We are. Sorry to hear your going back. Really you need to rethink your being a Marine. One day you will thank me. So was I. If you really want to serve your country then go to a VA hospital and visit some soldiers there. Tell them I sent you. You love to fight then fight for the people here who have lost their loved ones, and lost limbs to war. Fight for the soldiers who have lost what the country promised them, and didn't give anything back for their courage and strength. Did not care for the soldier gave everything. Fight here on your own land in your own country soldier. Try it once and see how far you get then come tell me what you found out about your own people, your own country, soldier. Remember who you are first a human being. I am still fighting, and there is no one, not one single person in this country who gave a dam, about a soldier who was willing to sacrifice his life for this country. Remember your family, and Friends. Because they are the ones your leaving behind. The wife you married. The baby you left behind. That's whats important, not war.

The most dangerous threat to the United States is internal decay. Rome fell when it was preoccupied with imperial power influencing events far from home while neglecting the domestic population.

Bread and circuses (food stamps and television) will keep the people docile only so long, but the loss of purpose and self-responsibility makes the state rotten at its core, when it will eventually collapse from a slight pressure from outside.

Al Qaeda believes the West is already rotten at its core and will collapse. I think they underestimate the resilience of a free society.

The most effective way to defend America is not to waste our resources on sending troops overseas. The most effective way to strengthen American security is to develop Americans' pride in being the best society on earth, a society of internal peace and prosperity that cares for all its citizens, cultivates the arts, and offers real equal justice under law to all. And arms every one of its citizens to defend that society against any potential invader, but never to fight outside its own borders.

Ourselves, and we are already at war within.
Everyone is polarized to an extreme.
Finish the job in Afghanistan. Never should have gone into Iraq. that doesn't mean we shouldn't have done something to neutralize Saddam, but I do not care if the Iraqis have democracy only slightly less than they do.

We are like a bunch of spoiled self centered kids, and that attitude is going to cost us dearly.

That being said, I tried to get back into this one, if only to send some 3rd tour kid home, but it did not work out.

I think Iran has been provoked into being our biggest threat. If you were constantly threatened by a bullying nation--USA--wouldn't you become defensive.

However, the biggest threats to world peace, and therefore to the USA--are Karl Rove because of his corruption, lies, manipulation, and undue influence on Bush, Cheney, et al, and the industrial-military complex which makes a huge profit from wars.

I will always fight for our troops
I too like a lot of Americans am a vet.
But
The objective in Afghanistan and in Iraq has been accomplished.
The problems over there are never going to go away.
To keep them out of our country we must first take care of our country
and we are not.
We need to strengthen our country
Slow down the political leaders all over this country to listening to us.
Then my answer to you is.....Terrorist,,,world wide.
A Government for the people ,,,To the people,,,By the people...
Right now,,this Country of our is for the rich politicians
Not all are greedy and stupid.
But there is too many of them bad.
Then,,,,Terrorist world wide.

The foreign policy of this country is terrible.. we should not try to police the world.

Originally when the founders created the country they said we could only have a national standing army for 2 years (thats never changed btw) and that we should have militia's to call upon for defense of our nation if there was ever a need. Its sort of like having a huge temporary national defense and very little offense. This is good because that would make America very hard to attack yet very hard for us to be an aggressor to another nation.

To answer your question.. its our own government that is the greatest threat to the liberty of its own people. We are creating a police in response to 9/11 and if we do that... then the terrorist win.

The biggest threat to the USA is China. They've got you in a headlock over US debt and there's nothing that can be done about it. If the USA attacks China there won't be anything left of both countries.
