Fortunately for the atheists, born-again Christians don't murder!
"This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him."
(I John 3:10-15)

Well where is hell and what do you have to do to go to hell.
Jesus said if you don't profess me to the world, I will not profess you to my Father. An Atheist has chosen not to believe but first had to consider God's existence before making that decision not to believe. Not believing does not make it not so. You can put your head in the sand and when you pull it out again, you will still see the sky. And who created the sky and the sand. Surely the atheist didn't. He has chosen to turn his back on God. Now why did the atheist kill the atheist. What does the ten commandments say. Thou shall not kill. Jesus said those who live by the sword will die by the sword. But it also says in the bible that there is no unforgivable sin except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
Son I think everyone has a place to go because he said , My father has many mansions. Some are not nice mansions (di-mansions)(dimensions), some you might call hell and some you may experience as paridise. Just because Jesus opened the locked doorway to heaven, doesn't say you will not be accountable for your thoughts, words and deeds.
Murder is considered a mortal sin of the flesh. Choosing to be an athiest is deniel and if you choose to deny, then you have chosen to be not one of the flock. They are as a goat amoung sheep. They shall be seperated on judgement day.
As you sew , so shall you reap. So I say both will attract to themselves a dimension of God that they will not be happy in.
One by choice and the other by deed.

More than likely the Christian serves a life sentence "hell on earth in a prison cell" and the atheist rots in a grave or is cremated either way he is no longer anything more than a memory and can't suffer as he does not exist any longer .
These are the facts of life which follow the the natural laws of nature and the man made laws of morality and ethics.
you may belive in whatever you choose just as the gun man of Virginia Tech did but in reality you will go down as a murderer whether psychotic or not .Also if you murder someone you are not really Christian but a criminal with a false label .Christ didn't murder and a follower should not cast the truth aside to commit murder .This is why people who like Christ don't like Christians sometimes.
peace out enjoy your life....be kind!

Revelation 18:24 - "In her was found the blood of prophets and of God's people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth."

This is referring to Babylon the Great. She is "mystery" and "superstition" and has crimes in her. She has kept the blood of the innocents, whether she was responsible for their deaths or not. Perhaps the kings didn't want it so they handed it over to her. Wicked people, or various groups as nations, are represented by the sea in the Bible (James 1:6; Isaiah 57:20; Revelation 17:15; Isaiah 5:30).

This analysis, if literally earth-based, would rely on advanced spying and testing systems on all citizens, so that the righteous could be identified in any situation. I have heard of superstitions involving literally putting the blood of victims onto the earth. So what about the Titanic? I think that crime syndicates divide up their territories so they know who can claim which death. In any event, if I were atheist and I was confronting a murderer of any description, I'd be making like a trench-dweller and praying.

Pinkstea...
FYI
Mark David Chapman, a Born-Again Christian, murdered John Lennon, an atheist, and is now in prison. He has been refused parole four times.

Everyone else ...
FYI
There is no such location as heaven or hell. They are both invented by man. The former as a carro-on-a-stick to promise a reward and the latter ... well, as a scare tactic.
Thus, the hypothesis as outlined in the question is invalid.

Well the Bible does say that God will forgive all the sins. It also says that all sins are equal. So in the eyes of God murder is no more wrong than stealing a chocolate bar. Hypothetically speaking, yes, the murderer will go to heaven. The Atheist would go to Hell (only if he didn't ask for forgiveness in his last few dying seconds).

Personally I would rather go to hell with all the Atheists, than be in heaven with the murderous Christians.

If a "Christian" murders someone then at that point in time they were not following God and his instructions. Now if that person will confess their sins and be truly sorry and not to it again then they will still be saved. But if the "Christian" never confesses of his sin and doesn't turn away from it then he is not really living a Christian life and will go to hell, according to what we can understand from the bible. If an atheist stays an atheist all of his life then yes he will go to hell weather or not he commits murder. This atheist and anyone else can submit their life to God and no matter what they have done if they truly accept Christ into their life and confess and repent of their sins then they will be saved. Just because you are "saved" does not mean that you should intentionally sin. If you are constantly intentionally sinning and don't care then you should reconsider weather or not you have really submitted your life to Christ. God bless!

If the murder took place after the "rebirth" then the "christian" was not truely reborn and they will both go to hell. If the murder took place before the rebirth then the born again christian will go to heaven and the athiest to hell. either way being the athiest sucks.

Hell is a made up place to keep all the mindless followers in line. If a "christian" murders someone, then they aren't true beleivers and can't even follow their own religious teachings.Fear is what religion uses for control.
