Hi.(again !) My current Home Theater setup is as follows :

NAD C162 Stereo Preamplifier.
Quad 306 Power Amplifier.
Carver C9 Sonic Hologram Generator.
NAD T562 DVD/CD/MP3 Player
Rogers Studio 1 Loudspeakers.
Van Den Hul "The Magnum" Halogen Free speaker cable.
Cable Talk Interconnects.
Sharp XV-Z200E DLP Projector.
Screen Technics 16:9 Widescreen Motorized Projector Screen (9ft. long x 5.06 ft. high).

This is in a room that is 26 ft. long x 15 ft. wide x 8 ft. high
As i have mentioned before ,the Sonic Hologram Generator creates a huge three dimensional soundstage where the speakers and the walls of the listening room seem to disappear creating the affect of being in a huge auditorium. This does away for the need to have extra speakers and a Surround Sound Amplifier. By using my 2 channel high quality amplifier i am getting the best sound available when watching a movie .

Additional information : The more speakers you have the more confusing is the sound .If you are using 5 speakers in your surround sound setup ,your ears are receiving 10 sound arrivals from your speakers. Each ear hears the sound from each loudspeaker. The ear /brain mechanism cannot resolve 10 sound arrivals so you are getting a distorted sound image. Even though you can hear sound coming from behind and around you with your system it is nothing like the real thing. The sound in a cinema is much better. In real life our ears can only receive TWO sonic arrivals at any one time .ONE for the left ear and ONE for the right ear. When listening to stereo with 2 speakers we are receiving FOUR sound arrivals which does not happen at a live event. That is why stereo can never approach realism . So with 5 speakers operating we are getting TEN sound arrivals instead of TWO.
