I just saw an amazing video by Paul Washer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuabITeO4l8
But Im afraid of living, I'm afraid of making choices. I've been turning from my old self and trying to build myself in light of Christ my savior. I found it easy not to sin anymore, what I mean is, I can easily follow the ten commandments. BUT. The line that devides sin from good works is blurred.
Someone told me that the best way to test to see if something you are unsure of is a sin, is to ask yourself: can I honor God with it?
"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."
By these words and by many others, I know that my one priority is God and his will, and the rest does not matter. So I gave up video games, I gave up watching TV, I gave up eating at restaurants, All the time I used to spend on myself I use to read the Bible.

Prophets say that professing Jesus as Lord is not enough. Even Satan acknolodges Jesus as Lord. But Im tired, Im worn down, Its hard. So I ask myself, when was I a Christian? When I turned to Jesus Christ, or when I stopped sinning, Or when I gave up everything I had for God? It feels like Im not a Christian now, It feels like i could be doing more. Im scared to become anything that isnt involved in the Church. Im afraid that If I become a Science Teacher I'd not be doing the will of God, and thus, I'd be rejected from HIS eyes and heaven.
When Is someone a Christian? I know that even If I did become a Pastor, I would only get into heaven by God's Grace, not works. So when can I say, "damn, I've had enough, I can't do all that, maybe this is my limit. I just want to be a Science Teacher, go to church, and be heavily involved in a fellowship."?

J V: Do you realize that Jesus said that If you even look at a woman and think a wrong thought it is the same as having committed adultery with her?
Yes, I know that. And I don't do that anymore. When you stop looking at porn (which degrades women) and stop thinking women as pleasure, you no longer lust for them when you see them, isntead It's like any other person.
Now as for the fool part, well, I didn't know that, BUT I do not judge people... "Judge not that ye be not Judged, for the measure you use it will be used agaisnt you"

You are doubting your status as a Christian because you are doubting God's promise that is in Christ Jesus. I assure you that nothing you do after you do when you're saved can gain you salvation. However, good works are a result of salvation not a cause of it. Could we keep sinning after receiving Christ since we are saved by grace? Of course not. Christ Jesus freed us from that so why would we return. Also after accepting Christ for our salvation he gives us the Holy Spirit, so we can know we are saved and live for God. How can we, being sinful, be holy. I assure you we by our own power are not holy, we may only strive for holiness through the Spirit of God. The Spirit is there as a counselor for us so we may live our lives toatally for God. Do not rely on your own power, instead rely on the Holy Spirit, Jesus said He would guide us and He said He would give us eternal life if we believed in Him. Do you not believe Jesus was telling the truth here? Remember, brother, that if we live by the Spirit we are under grace. If we do not we are under law, and we are guilty, having sinned against a Holy God. Remember Jesus died so we can be dead to sin and alive to God. Now live your life for God knowing you are free from sin forever, because Jesus took your sins for you, all of them, past, present, and future. Jesus came to give the believer peace, not worry. This peace is from knowing that when God sees us on judgement day He does not see our sin, but the holiness of His Son, Jesus Christ. And all the good works we do in Jesus name are treasure laid up in heaven for us. Trust God and not yourself, even on living. Follow the Holy Spirit of God and you will live a life glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ free from striving and worry. Peace be with you.

I suggest you get into a bible believing, bible teaching church.
You made some comments that I find are a little disconcerting. You said that you no longer sin. If that is so, then God's word is wrong. You say that you have no problem following the ten commandments. Do you realize that Jesus said that If you even look at a woman and think a wrong thought it is the same as having committed adultery with her? Do you know that Jesus said that if you ever called someone a fool that is the same as committing murder?
It sounds like you still have a long way to go, but so do we all.
You need to understand who you are "IN" Christ Jesus. There are numerous scriptures that, when understood, help the individual believer to live the victorious Christian life. Pay close attention to Paul's writings, especially when he uses the term "IN Christ". That is a positional statement. You, as a believer have been placed "IN Christ", and He is in you.
Here is what the scriptures have to say about you as a believer:
Matthew 5:13 I am the salt of the earth.
Matthew 5:14 I am the light of the world.
John 1:12 I am a child of God.
John 3:3 I am born again.
John 8:32 I am set free by the Truth.
John 17:9 Jesus has prayed for me. I belong to God.
John 17:11 I am protected by the power of the name of Jesus.
John 17:13 I have His joy in full measure.
John 17:15 I am kept from the evil one.
John 17:21 I can be one with all others of God’s children.
John 17:22 I have been given the Glory of God.
John 17:23 Jesus is in me.
John 17:24 I am one with God the Father and Jesus the Son.
John 17:25 I am God’s gift to Christ.
This is only a partial list.
eros halo, Jesus tells us we are supposed to judge. He said, "You will know them by their fruit." How can one do that unless one judges what kind of fruit another person is producing? Jesus said, "Judge not lest ye also be judged." He then said that whatever we use as our standard of measurement, that same standard will be used to judge us. I have no problem with being judged by the standard I use. The Word of God is my standard. You have proclaimed yourself sinless, so yours seems to be "self-righteousness".
REPENT!
God loves you and so do I.

between the excuses human beings urge others to elect abstinence is that intercourse is definitely super. It makes you experience remarkable in a fashion no longer the rest can. as quickly as you start up up it, this is extremely complicated to "basically say no". i think of you ought to have some time away out of your boyfriend until eventually you get issues under administration. Is he a Christian, too? If no longer, you do ought to separate up. if so, he knows what you're doing is misguided and could agree which you the two ought to be severe approximately your Christian existence. i'm satisfied you have made differences on your existence, however the evil one will continuously earnings from that one concern that tempts you the main. i will furnish you the earnings of the doubt which you're "saved", yet once you consistently enable sin into your existence, you will lose the relationship with God for you to have and you will lose your witness in front of human beings. Pray that the Holy Spirit will shelter and take care of you, and supply you potential to be harmless earlier the Lord. <*)))><

You know that you are saved because you have the Holy Spirit in you (Romans 8) and that you love the brethren (1st John).
Question: what are you afraid of? God has already given you grace. Consider this: a newlywed wife finds a verse in her husbands belongings that says "Remember, do not commit adultery." How would the wife feel? Why wouldn't she be happy that her husband is striving so hard to be good to her?
God doesn't want you to try to make yourself feel good about Him. Instead, He wants to give it to you. Romans and Galatians describe the difference between grace and works, one is from you and one from God. Grace is God's super-human power in your live (besides salvation) that helps you to do His will.
Instead of looking inside yourself to find or create righteousness, you should admit that you don't have it and only God does. You should strengthen your relationship with God so you can receive His grace to do the right thing.

The bible also says that salvation is by grace;
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
If you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that he died and rose again. The bible (which is God's word) says you are saved and will have everlasting life, amen.

Everyone has his own convictions in the Lord so it can be hard to answer your ?, so what you do in the Lord you should have peace about it, he is not the auther of confusion you should be happy to do what you need to do it is not of works, your walk should have joy, it is a heart felt walk not of dismay, so check yourself and ask a'm I trying to do this by myself or is God dealing with me on this. My exsperiance has been peaceful I am happy serving God it is a joy to witness for him, being saved is a having exsperances with God like going to the lake with a friend or going walking with your girlfriend it should be a joyful relationship.

To me, you sound like a very good Christian. We all have burn out times- that is when it's time to sit back and wait on the LORD. Take a day, go to a lake or the mountains, and soak in the awesome beauty of God's creation. The LORD will guide you and instruct you. Keep praising JESUS, he loves you so much. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!

First of all take a breath. God is not that complicated. You were saved when you turned to Christ and said I am a sinner, forgive me my unbelief and enter my heart. That can not ever be taken from you if you meant it. But Satan though he knows he can not ever take you from God knows he can still befuddle your mind to the point that you are useless to God. Relax , pray ask Him to reveal Himself to you. We all were not meant to be preachers. Maybe you will be a science teacher. Be still and know God. Wait upon Him. He'll come.

How can you know for sure if you are saved? Consider 1 John 5:11-13 (NLT): "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life." Who is it that has the Son? Those who have believed in Him and accepted Him (John 1:12). If you have Jesus, you have life. Eternal life. Not temporary, but eternal.
God wants us to have assurance of our salvation. We cannot live our Christian lives wondering and worrying each day whether we are truly saved or not. That is why the Bible makes the plan of salvation so clear. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved (John 3:16; Acts 16:31). Do you believe that Jesus is the Savior, that He died to pay the penalty for your sins (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21)? Are you trusting Him alone for salvation? If your answer is yes, you are saved! Assurance means to "put beyond all doubt." By taking God's Word to heart, you can "put beyond all doubt" the fact and reality of your eternal salvation.
Jesus Himself states this regarding those who have believed in Him: "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me" (John 10:28-29 NLT). Again, this gives more emphasis to "eternal." Eternal life is just that--eternal. There is nobody, not even yourself, who can take Christ's God-given gift of salvation away from you.
Memorize these passages. We hide God's Word in our hearts so that we do not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11), and this includes doubt. Take joy in what God's Word is saying to you: That instead of doubt we can live with confidence! We can have the assurance from Christ's own Word that the state of our salvation will never be in question. Our assurance is based on God's love for us through Jesus Christ. Jude 24-25, "To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen."

Jesus said to love God with our whole being and to love others as ourselves. Trust in God's mercy. God knows we aren't perfect, but as long as we honestly try to repent, we are in God's favor. Just live the best life you can in Christ, Jesus, and focus on what good you can do, instead of what you can't or haven't done.
"Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself." James 2:17
