i use avast antiviruse www.avast.com
windows registry repair se www.3bsoftware.com
windows defender www.microsoft.com
free internet eraser its in ie 7 add ons or cnet.com

not only do you got to keep your pc from viruses but you all so got to keep your registry clean from errors and also spyware , adware se slows it down to much,since i have been using these i havnt had a viruse problem in almost 2 years

You can find two new programs that are free on AOL. I use Active virus shield and Active Security monitor. So far, they seem great. I Windows XP accessories. I use disk clean up and check for defragmentation on a weekly basis.

I use:

-Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D for Spyware Removal
-ZoneAlarm for a software firewall
-AVG Free Antivirus
-And occasionally, Windows Defragger
-Use Firefox instead of IE

You don't need to much. Just remember, behavior is your first defense.

One I wouldn't be without is AdAware which looks for cookies and spyware that you might not want to have on your computer.
