I moved since I filed for the state tax return in MS. On their computer the refund check was already sent out. I was wondering if they allow the refund check to forward to the address if I request it at postoffice. I tried to call MS tax people, but the line was always busy and I was never able to talk to anyone there. If anyone knows please help!!

Did you file a change of address with the postal service? I know that is not the greatest of insurance, but it is a start. When and if you don't receive after 3 to 4 months, you should call back, after tax season and ask what you should do. That is how the states get money sitting in their accounts waiting on someone to claim it. So check out your states treasurer department.

I couldn't find a the answer to your question on the MS State Tax Commission website, but there is a 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page. It leads to an e-mail form. Perhaps you can get an answer that way.

Federal tax stuff is not forwarded and most states are the same, they are returned to sender with note from post office telling sender your current address...
direct deposit would have taken care of this problem

Government correspondence is usually marked with an indication not to forward, and particularly checks.
