The Teachings of Jesus - especially on Loving one's enemies and praying for those who persecute you - forgiving those who do harm to you; and not to judge, negatively criticize and condemn others;
and to unconditionally Love all people, without exception, showing compassion for all people.

*Excellent Question.

-Namaste.

With Metta, to everyone.

This reminds me of an early Christian cult that had the imagery of a snake wending its way between supernatural and natural, or something like that.

I'm not really into playing one of two opposites, although I realise that the question isn't really phrased that way.

How do these two interrelate? Man is made from the earth (Genesis 1:27). Jesus made everything (Colossians 1:16). Actually this is a very interesting passage in scripture.

"He is the image of the invisible God." The word image is "eikon". It derives from "eiko" which is apparently a root word perhaps akin to 'eiko' (different kind somehow that means 'to yield') through the idea of faintness as a copy. The word "eiko" that means "to yield" occurs in one place in the Bible.
Galatians 2:5 - We did not give in (eiko) to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

The fact that he got up soon after being killed and started walking around like nothing ever happened, then he rose into the sky and became a god.

But earlier he had said "Unless ye drink my blood and eat my flesh."

Well, they hardly got the chance did they?

This doesn't bother church people today, but to me it seems odd.
