[I]f no moral principles exist apart from God's will, God's moral choices cannot be principled, and a being that makes unprincipled choices... is not a being worthy of worship. ... [I]f actions are neither right nor wrong independent of God's will, then God cannot choose one over another because it is morally better. Thus, any moral choices God makes must be arbitrary. But a being who acts arbitrarily does not deserve our praise. So not only is the divine command theory implausible, it is impious as well. It's curious that theists would be consider defending such a position. Who would praise a god for doing something completely arbitrary? Wouldn't worship of such a god be nothing more than the worship of power — the worship of a being merely because it is powerful enough to do whatever it wants? It's strikingly similar to toadying to a powerful king or other ruler who holds people's fate in his hands

He will choose the one with the purest heart. Morality is a concious choice.. God is a Spirit. And those who are His are mindful of Him and His Ways. May God Bless U.

How is choosing the most moral decision a lack of free will? I think you need to understand that being a God of love, and understanding...being "I am that I am" means he understands the differences between right and wrong, moral and immoral and would choose that which IS right and moral, simply because it is.

Well i think She is not defined by morality. morality is a group consensus on correct behaviour in relation to others. God by defenition is immorral because She is the ultimate authority and any action is devine and must be accepted by us mere mortals as beyound our understanding.

Ask your fellow man before you put this on a God. Remember God as no voice of his own. Only man can speak for a God just like here on Yahoo Answers.

G-d will always make the "correct" move in every situation.
We may not view His actions as "moral" but that is because
we are unable to view the outcome before acting as G-d does.

Not that God has no freewill; but that He cannot sin because He is Holy by nature (personality). I don't expect a fuzzy bunny to ambush me...it's against his nature.
