If you can afford it, get a gift cert for some restaurant, suggest she take her boyfriend or family for dinner. Put it in a Thank you card and express how you feel about her service. You might also deliver the card to her manager instead with a letter saying what a good employee she is, as asking the boss to pass the card and gift cert onto her. Keep it above board and you shouldn't have any criticism.

ok well it does depend on how you know her, is she just a family friend? a waitress? well my answer to each, a family friend give a card expressing your gratitude, other things may be inappropriate. To a waitress, (which I used to be) leave a nice note on a napkin and a nice tip. Or perhaps make a contribution in her name to a charity that reflects her views. And sometimes jst a hug (not too long it may be uncomfortable after a period of time) and a smile saying thank you for everything is enough.

If this is someone who regularly gets tips for her work (a waitress, for example), a generous tip left on the table would be best.

If this is any other situation, I would go with the suggestions of the first answerer on this... deliver the message through her manager. And who knows, the recognition just might land her a big fat raise to boot!

A simple thank you card with a note that is telling her you really appreciate her kindness and smiles during her service. Or simply give her an extra tip, and tell her the extra is because of her ever constant pleasant demeanor. God bless****

Yes, just a thank you and a Smile
is all you need to do.
Anything more, it can look creepy.

A gift card would be nice. Please tell her manager how you feel about her service. That, I am sure, would be most appreciated by her.
