You can cook ANYTHING on them and once seasoned properly are 'non stick'. Even eggs!
What do ya say?
Huh?

Love to cook in cast iron. Whether it's Lodge brand or older, it's great stuff. We have some old cornstick pans we love to use. It took me a little while to figure out how to keep them from sticking - even seasoned it seemed like the sticks always stuck. I found a tip on line that said to heat them first. I heat the pans, spray them with cooking oil, and the sticks come out with a simple shake - every time!

No other skillet browns the same - everything tastes better in iron!

I love cast iron. But I don't like the way Lodge pre-seasons it. Everything stuck until I scrubbed the finish off and re-seasoned it every day for weeks. That pre-seasoning just flaked off. The non-Lodge stuff I got when it was still grey and had to season myself is just perfect after years. Nothing against Lodge, I just wish I had the option of seasoning it myself.
