To be respectful of your neighbors, you should never simply release your dog loose into the neighborhood to begin with. Where do you think your dog is using the bathroom? If you don't walk your dog on a leash, you really don't know where he is using the bathroom.

Show this respect for your neighbors and you won't have this kind of problem.

We used to have a great trick when I was a kid. We lived in the country and had a large property. To give the dog the most possible area to roam I used to attach a long light chain to the clothes line. He then had the run of the entire length of the clothes line and a considerable width as well. As the chain went into the air above him it did not get wrapped around objects. We had no choice but to use a chain for a few years until my father could afford the time and money to fence a large portion of the property. We lived close to a highway and used this method to keep the little guy safe... he did not seem to mind at all! Of course this was 30 years ago and people had a much different view of what was ok and what was not. Cheers!

okay let me say first off forget the parents doing anything these days cause ppl seem to be scared to disipline their kids these days because of all the namby pamby child advocacy groups . that is why there are far more teenagers in jail than there used to be when parents took the branch to their butts when they were little they knew disipline like when i was little . this kid sounds like a budding serial killer and yes they do start out like this . Call the police have it on record that you reported it . Also call child services what in the heck is this kid doing with a bow and arrow? that is a dangerous weapon for kids to have . I swear some ppl dont care what their kids do . good luck .

Well if you love your dog you wouldn't let him run loose in the neighborhood anyway because if the kid don't kill him a car will.

But besides that you really need to call childrens services this kid has got a serious mental problem or just a big mouth

but he really needs to be reported to someone I would start with his parents and go on from there if nothing has been done

Sounds to me like that little neighbor needs to be seen by a Psychiatrist. Any young child who threatens to kill an animal, needs some help. I wouldn't let the dog out by himself if your little neighbor is around. He sounds like a nut! Did you speak with is parents about this? They may be unaware that he has a serious problem.

Call the police. Talk to his parents. This is not right and shouldn't be allowed for him to make threats or say that he hates you and wants to kill your dog. Definetely call the police or talk to his parents for sure.

I don't understand when people give advice on here and well I don't see anything wrong with most of our answears and we get thumbs down all the time.

Crazy kid. Call child protective services, catching and treating aggressive behavior is crucial in preventing malicious behavior later in life. Don't let your dog out of sight. Most serial killers admit it to torturing and killing animals when they were younger.

go talk to the police, animal control, his parents, don't put up with it. do not let him kill ur dog. video tape what he does with his bow and arrow, those things are hunting tools not toys, and as a hunting tool it is a deadly weapon.

ummm... have you talked to the kid's parents? How do you know he wants to kill your dog?

Your dog should not be off leash anyway unless you are with him at a dog park or he is in a securely fenced yard.

Don't be lax in protecting your pet. Report the boy to Children's services because agressive treatment of animals can be a sign the boy needs serious mental health counseling.
