I don't get how people don't really kno the whole history of the evolutionary theory. Charles Darwin created it, but denounced it on his death bed, because he had uncertainty about God and Heaven. Is he an idiot or wat?

Apparently you don't know as much about Darwin as you'd like to believe. Darwin didn't create evolutionary theory. He studied it, he wrote about it but it wasn't his idea.

Few people know that Darwin was a creationist of sorts. Although he believed that all species evolved from a common ancestor he couldn't explain what the original ancestor evolved from so he believed it was created by a creator.

Darwin reasoned out the fact that all life, everthing from the largest animals to plants to slime mold is built of common building blocks and he figured this out before anybody ever heard of genetics or DNA. Certainly he was wrong about a lot of thing but considering the state of biology at the time and what he had to work with Charles Darwin was a remarkable scientist.

Only a remarkably ignorant fool would call Charles Darwin an idiot.

Claim CG001:
Darwin renounced evolution on his deathbed.
Source:
Enoch, H., 1916. Darwin's final recantation. Bombay Guardian, 25 March 1916, quoted at http://www.forerunner.com/forerunner/X0724_Darwins_Final_Recant.html
Response:

1. The story of Darwin's recanting is not true. Shortly after Darwin's death, Lady Hope told a gathering that she had visited Darwin on his deathbed and that he had expressed regret over evolution and had accepted Christ. However, Darwin's daughter Henrietta, who was with him during his last days, said Lady Hope never visited during any of Darwin's illnesses, that Darwin probably never saw her at any time, and that he never recanted any of his scientific views (Clark 1984, 199; Yates 1994).

2. The story would be irrelevant even if true. The theory of evolution rests upon reams of evidence from many different sources, not upon the authority of any person or persons.

Promoting a false story does not help the credibility of the rest of your ideas. The folks at "Answers in Genesis" understand that; you can read, on their own site, that the "Darwin recanted" story is untrue: http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v18/i1/darwin_recant.asp

Moreover, whether or not he "recanted" has no bearing on the truth or falsity of the theory. Those who, like you, think that "authority" establishes truth, believe you can discredit an idea by discrediting the "authority" behind it. I think that truth is its own authority. Every claim stands or falls on its own merits.

Your claim to understand the theory of evolution and the history of its development is discredited by your claim that Charles Darwin "created" it, as much as by your promotion of the hoax of his deathbed conversion. The only things you know about evolution are the claims on anti-evolution sites -- and, apparently, not even the best of those. So why do you bother arguing about it?

The original idea of evolution was a hoax cooked up by Darwin himself. The original idea holds no water what so ever. But like any evil church, over the years the truth has been buried and the craftiness of men has been used to blind the dumb.

Well.... about the denouncement part, it was a myth created by Christians, the children of Darwin who were at his bedside confirmed the myth. There was no lady hope there to whom he allegedly confessed too.

Another fine example of Christian propaganda.

Do you research before making such comment.... try not to make yourself look like an idiot you claim other people to be.

Urban legend invented by his opposition in an attempt to discredit his genius.

I also enjoy reading Darwin quotes with no context around them. Like that quote about how absurd the evolution of the eye is.

Which he then explains in great detail. Way to go, creationists. You really know how to get all of the information!

Darwin did not create evolution - there were proponents before him and contemporaries that were doing the same studies he did. He just was the most famous.

And he did not recant. That has been debunked totally.

Evolution would still be around if Darwin had never existed.

Charles Darwin was a smart guy and real nice too, he was over for dinner. Now he's worm food and has evolved into topsoil...actually his atoms have probably found their way up the food chain already. God likes me better than you too.
