Ok you are lost in the woods its getting dark , You only have one match left. You have a candle, a lantern , and some firewood .

Which would you light first?

Of course you'd light the match first... then the candle, then the lantern, but not before pouring a bit of the lantern oil (if it's an oil lantern) on top of the firewood. Then the firewood.

Would start the firewood first. Then take a stick , stick it in the fire and then light the lantern. If the lantern is lit you would not need the candle.

The candle it is the easiest, then prep and light the fire wood with it. There is no reason to light the lantern.

candle, absolutely. but i would only light it AFTER i had gotten together kindling and various sizes of firewood, had them arranged and ready to light. you DON'T want that candle to blow out while you're getting your wood set up!

edit: ohhhhh of course. i'd light the match first. it's so obvious it didn't even occur to me that it needed to be said.

The firewood..... I would not want to Freeze and it would keep the wild animals away, besides someone might see it and come and rescue me.
