If you can spend nearly 3K get a better car or lower milage. Kia's can be good if you are a careful driver and take the maintenance seriously.
My Sephia is a 98 and I bought it 72k on it and paid only $1600 with a 2 year warranty. It is in good shape now at 111k but is only worth 1k at most.

Had a 1998 Kia Sephia for years - never any problems
with it - a nice car

2000 Sportage has 4WD problems and the Sephia has Transmission and brake problems - avoid these vehicles like a fatal disease
