Good question. Their Jesus taught the exact opposite. If he were to come back today, they'd call him a pinko commie and a bleeding-heart liberal.

Colossians 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such people also go into great detail about what they have seen, and their unspiritual minds puff them up with idle notions. 19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. 20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
Therefore, Christians might think it's all about arranging "good" routines so they'll feel like any sort of sensual indulgence - this is the sort of thing you hear, that you're not really a living person if you don't enjoy perfume parties, despite the fact that it might not be a good time for you etc.
It's the sort of ethic, and not Christianity as I practise it by any means, that tells you you have to be polite and follow correct procedures. Therefore, the judgmentalism possibly is just a way of asking permission to be addicted to a certain routine for a certain event.
The apostle Paul said: 1 Corinthians 5:12, "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?"

1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler--not even to eat with such a one.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
Proverbs 13:16 In everything the prudent acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly.
Pro 14:15 The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.

If one person believes that we are created for a purpose
and another purpose believes mankind just happened and has no purpose
then there are two conflicting world views.
But calling Christians "judgmental" demonstrates a lack of "tollerance" of people who hold a different position than you and is in itself "judgmental" is it not?

Because Heaven has rules. We don't live by what we want and what we want to do. We understand that we want to enter into God's Kingdom and so we have to leave behind our own evil desires. Also, because we study and learn about the love of God and Jesus, we understand the hatred and evil of Satan. We do not want you or anyone else to end up under his rule for eternity. On the day you exhale your last breath, you will fully understand. We want ourselves and everyone else to be ready for that day. It's a love thing.
