The scripture about a drunken Noah troubles many. Study of God’s Word always sheds light.
Important to note twice for emphasis it is written, HAM THE FATHER OF CANAAN.

(Gen.9:18-25) And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. (19) These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. (20) And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: (21) And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. (22) And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. (23) And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. (24) And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. (25) And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

So what is the nakedness of his father, the nakedness of their father, or their father's nakedness?

(Lev.20:11) And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

(Lev.18:8) The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Canaan was the child of Ham and his mother or Noah’s wife.

As you have pointed out......Uncovering Your Fathers nakedness would be having sex with his Wife...

If we go by Leveticus.

I have heard some say that it was a homosexual act pulled on Noah, but Levitcus may shed some light in a different sense...

Perhaps Noahs son wen t in the tent & slept with Noah's wife.

When the Wife got pregnant, Noah cursed the son....that would be born.

Of course, this is speculation, I wasn't there... What say you?

You thought through this a lot, obviously, but if you really think about it, that doesn't make too much sense in the context. In Leviticus, it says that BOTH of them will be put to DEATH. Neither of the two were put to death in this situation. Also, the book of Genesis says that Noah was drunk and that Ham came into his tent and saw his nakedness. It doesn't say anything about Noah's wife. When his siblings come into the tent, they cover their father's nakedness, and they hide their eyes from it. That means that they couldn't possibly be covering incest, which is an abstract concept, and not something that can actually be physically covered.

I know this is an old debate but it has recently come up with my soon to be husband. He believes that a man's nakedness means his wife or someone having sex with his wife. Personally, through many years of study, my views are completely different. It the new testament it says that a wife's body is not her own and belongs to her husband and that his body is not his own but belongs to his wife. 1 Cor. 7:4 New International Version
The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. thus, my feeling on this subject is this. In the account of Noah's son viewing him naked it meant his own nakedness not that of his wife or having sex with his wife. What did or did not fully happen in that incident that is mentioned in Leviticus is not completely explained, but it was serious enough that Noah cursed Ham's son, Canaan and blessed the brothers that covered him.
My point being has nothing to do with curses and blessings but what nakedness in the Word actually means. People either look at scriptures in a literal sense or pictoral sense. With the statement made in 1 Corinthians that a wife's body is not her own but her husband's and his is hers and not his own, I happen to believe the point of the statement in another Levitical scripture about sleeping with a man's wife is uncovering his nakedness, Lev. 18:8, means that because a wife's body belongs to her husband only that if someone else uncovers her, they are looking upon nakedness that belongs to her husband only. Forgive me if I am mistaken in my interpretation but it seems to me to bring the full gospel together from old to new testaments is the only way to completely understand the scriptures. They do not contradict themselves but complete the thought and message.

You can't believe everything that's written in the Bible. We know the story of Noah & the Arc is made up because it was impossible for Noah to get to the Arctic Regions in order to gather Polar Bears. Just take it with a grain of salt and it's much easier.

more importantly.......
read.... And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had DONE UNTO HIM. This son was the father of the Sodomites. Do you understand now?

Nakedness refers to the naked of the naked. ALL the way naked, as in personal body parts. The most personal body parts.
