How much can i sell a silver trumpet for?

its a getzen, and in pretty good shape, its just got a few dents and i need to clean it, but other than that its in great shape. how much can i sell it for?

Then go to a online music store like wwbw.com and see what the price is for a new one. Then reduce the price based on age.

With this knowledge go to a local music store and see if they'll buy it or sell it on consignment. It's like a used car, if your not trading it in they won't give you much. So, it would be better to sell it on consignment. At least you'll get a good idea what it's worth. You can also take this information and advertise it in your local paper, send a flyer to local school band directors, or ebay.

Well...they're kinda like a cross between yamaha and bach copycat...

If it's silver plated, not silver varnish and younger than 5 years old, I would guess in the $550-680 range....
depending on your idea of 'good shape'....

Though it's going to be hard to sell, many people don't like these because of their playing tendencies...It takes more control and effort to play. The bell shape is kinda weird compared to alot of other professional trumpets.

Call local music stores, many resell used musical instruments. Also, try pawn shops in your area. Check at Ebay, too.

DON'T USE SILVER POLISH EVER................ Get a tootbrush and use tootpaste and you'll be surprised on the results. You can't placed silver polish at the bell or it'll degrade the sound and destroy the conclude.
