I have caught everything from warmwater species like bass, sunfish on one to mountain trout in cold streams, even some saltwater stuff as well

My choice would be a jig. Ive caught pretty much every species of fish I have ever fished for with a jig

A silver 1/8 oz panther martin spinner.

as far as flies,a trout fin in size 14.Nothing works better to catch rainbows/browns/brookies where I fish.I can also use it for bass/perch/panfish as well.
