could be blood...its got iron in it.. so that could be the metal your tasting..check for bleeding gums...its not healthy

Mettalic tastes are a good sign of the presence of blood. Spit and check if there is blood. If so, I reccommend you stop brushing so vigorously (or perhaps altogether for a while). It may be your tonsils, but that's a big guess. Try swabbing around you mouth, and try to find the source of the blood. In any case, you should probably go see a doctor.

are you taking lunesta or any other type of medications? some meds will cause a metallic taste in your mouth. If you have some fillings or crowns check and see if they are there.

Some medication can do this to you. If you are talking any prescription medications, look up on the internet all the possible side-effects.
