No, not too old. My uncle got married (for the 3rd time) when he was over 50, and this is his happiest marriage so far. There are people of your age out there, and one of them may be looking for you right now.

I don't think that you are too old to start dating, but it is important to talk to your daughter and make sure that she is okay with it, and with whom you are dating (if its serious or long-term). As the daughter of a single mother who married a second time in her 40's and then divorced, I can testify to the dangers of rushing headlong into a serious relationship. You still have many good years left! Also, remember that your daughter came first, and your first obligation is to her and her well-being.

No and do not let other people affect you when they will say you have a son who is 12. You are single and there are men out there that might appreciate you, but you will have to find them. And please believe me people at least some will say you have a 12 year old you should stay put. But do not listen to them as they are not important. You are and find your own men to date and be happy with that. And I wish you good luck and try it out. You need it and it will help you feel better about yourself. Good luck.

Absolutely not, but you have to make sure your child fully understands what you're doing (there will questions, I'm sure, about why Mom is going out) and - of course - you have to make sure the guys fully understand your child means the most in your life. It can be more of an adjustment for the child, so work with him so he understands everything.

No, I know several people in their 40s and 50s who date. And there are people out there your age as well.

I think it is absolutely acceptable for you to date. why shouldn't you? however, I think you need to be honest with your child about it. just make sure you set a good example for him/her, because he/she is still at a critical age where he/she will mimic your behavior. he/she is old enough to know the truth though. good luck with getting back into dating! I hope you meet a really great person who makes you happy :)

No. As long as you are honest with yourself and other people and put yourself out there then I don't think you're ever too old to start dating again.

Of course you're not. At this age, you should feel as free as a bird to start over...
