Wow, I have never heard of that before. It does not sound good.
Our prayers are with your brother-in-law.

You would have to know the whole entire gamit of test results to be able to diagnose. I am a cancer RN. Usually potassium is low because it is hemo diluted in the IV fluids or the edema in his body.
There are so many things which could be wrong, I dont think we should guess at it. More tests are needed.

its not such a good situation, but to be honest with you, I dont think cancer can develop and progress that fast.
I would suggest to try to relax, take all possible tests and to go through all possible procedures to determine the cause of rejection.
as of now, dont panic and be there for you family.

all best regards, good luck

the Dr should know what it is=try to be there for your sister as it will be quite an ordeal for her and try to visit your brother-in-law to cheer him up
