this is funny. i went on a date and asked the waiter to get me the most expensive bottle of wine, and he brought a £1120 bottle of wine. I was not a very happy man after paying that much for the wine. what is the most you would pay?

Depends on your preferences for types of wine, and the occasion. For a regular date, I would say about $50 max for a bottle. Expensive doesn't always mean good; if you are a true wine lover, then you can almost always find a wine you like wherever you are, and can probably keep it close to $25 a bottle in a restaurant. And if you get a chance, check out the website for World Market; they have a great selection of wines from around the world. Enjoy!

Well, the most I have ever paid for a bottle of wine at a winery is $75 Canadian. However, I don't generally buy a whole bottle of wine at a restaurant because I know how much I would be paying for it if I bought it in a liquor store and took it home.

oh man. never say the most expensive cause there are some really expensive bottles of wine out there that may not even be to your liking!!!

i like to stick to around 20 bux and under....however, ive found some awesome wines that were really cheap and tasted great. my current favorite is a brand called "la boca". its an import from argentina (and i didnt pick it cause im from argentina, i swear!). i got it for $3.99 at trader joe's. its a malbec and its seriously good wine!!!

in fact, i just finished drinking a bottle of it....yeah...im a bit tipsy.

The most I've paid was about $110 from a store. It was either Dom Perignon or Mumms Cordon *****. But that was for a special occasion and I didn't like either of them. Now the most expensive one I buy is Mumms DVX once a year for around $85.

if im in some restaurant where i can only go and eat once in a lifetime i would pay for the finest wine.
But, overall i would only pay for at most 50$ worth of wine.

depends on whom i was on a date with, if the date seems to be going well then i would pay up to $100.00 but if it seems as if my date is not going any where then around $40.00

ps how much is your amount in US dollars?
