Hands down - fruits and veggies are the top choice due to the phytonutrients and high natural antioxidant levels! Sadly, who of us gets the 9 -1 3 servings a day that is the current recommendation? You might consider a 'whole-food' supplement (one made solely of natural food, not 'vitamins' produced in the lab) like Juice Plus - it came recommended to me by the Chair of the Exercise Science program at the college where I coach track.

fruits and veggies are PRIZED "diet" foods. eat as many as you like. especially green veggies they are the best of the best for you. you should be eating more than just veggies though...throw in a bit of lean protein, healthy fats, and whole grain carbs too! there's a reason foods are split in to catagories (i.e fat, carbs, protein) THEY ARE ALL ESSENTIALY NUTRIENTS to proper and healthy body function. cravings stem from the fact that your body does need all of these to preform daily functions. that's why most people can not stay on restrictive diets. so don't even bother!
