I am tolerant of every religion, every person. But that does not mean I believe what they believe is the Truth or what every person does is right. I am not afraid to speak the Truth and to tell someone they are wrong. Tolerance does not mean I no longer have a voice to speak up, it means I will not try to prevent you from practicing your religion or speaking about it and you, hopefully are tolerant of me also in the same way.

If there is no tolerance, then everyone but those in the state religion will be persecuted. Discriminiation is a fact right now in Europe. Persecution is just around the corner.

Tolerance is the cornerstone of freedom. Praise God for the Bill of Rights & the old Rhode Island Colony!

Yes. Sometimes I have trouble with being tolerant of individuals, but I generally find their beliefs interesting.

I do not tell people who or what they can worship. I do however on this site in this category testify to the truth as much as possible. If one could be saved due to the things we say or teach, then it is worth the bashing of Christians by other religions.

if by "tolerant" you mean do I respect others and realize that they have views that may oppose my views, then yes! I believe the fredom of religion is one of our greatest freedoms! I believe this freedom is worth preserving and fighting for if needed.

If by tolerant you mean that I endorse views that oppose mine, then I do not! If I believe something is right, then I should stand by my beliefs! If I stand by my beliefs and your beliefs contradict them, I should be able to express that I believe you are in error.

My tolerance for others to believe other things should not mean I have to compromise my own beliefs!

If you are well founded in tour own beliefs, it should not cause you a problem for me to express that I believe some of them may be (is) wrong. You should welcome such honesty.

I certainly try to be, esp. given that I don't really practice within an organized religion. I pretty much keep to my own spiritual beliefs and figure others are entitled to theirs.

Sure, why not? We've all probably got it wrong anyway. How can the human mind understand God? As long as it helps you, I say "go for it".
