Nope...I had the top contributor moniker for a while...I guess I did not agree with people enough....I am not in it for points or prizes anyway...I just want to share and learn.

I have noticed a diversity in "Top Contributor" contributions. From Atheist to Catholic to Born Again believers.

Aren't people awarded these tags literally for their contributions. That seems fair and equal.

This is a natural process.
Believers couldn't find answers, so they come to Y/A. Answerers try their level best to satisfy the believers. Great answers were given, and answerers got top marks.
Because so-called believers still want to ask questions, and many a times try to belittle others, especially those who don't agee with what they believe in, more top marks were scored by respondents. Well, believers keep asking, and got their marks down in the process.
You don't have to bother about others becoming Top Contributors in Y/A. Just be one in your church.

Not at all. There are those that know how to get around how it works for most of us. Like one user that had only been on Y! A for three days, and already had 21,000 points. To gain something dishonestly is no real gain.
I come here to answer questions because I like to. A "Top Contributer" tag means as much to me as the star you can give to a question.

I hadn't actually noticed.
But it does show that their whining about how Yahoo doesn't treat them equally is a load of ballocks.....
Of course, I suspected as much anyhow.
I wondered awhile back when I noticed a "Top contributor" tag on my own avatar, but it didn't seem to last long. I never knew how I'd rated it to begin with, and I never figured out what I did to lose it.
Maybe Yahoo is secretly opressing Christians, go figure.

I find it amusing! Kinda like the guy kicking the tires to see if he'll buy it.
Of course, the top contributors means a lot of nonsense statements always putting in their 2 points worth!

"Top Contributor" contributor's input is not factual. If you ever review the answers they give you can see why they have nothing better to do then sit on the net and make a life on yahoo questions.

Nope. I have 35,278 points and 785 best answers and am not a Top Contributor. Go figure.

It does not bother me.
Did they actually receive it by spending most of their time in R&S forum. I want only "Best answer" for wise answers in R&S. I know that they are among us and best answer in this forum is perception of what someone wants to hear. thus the various styles of religion in this world.

I serve the God of the bible through Jesus Christ and the cross.
