Jesus was both, God and a messenger of God. God sent Jesus down from heaven as his son where he would help the world and later die to give us eternal life if we believe that Jesus is God's son. Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are all one, just in different forms. Here are some verses:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9 NIV
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
John 10:28-30 NIV
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NIV

Islam holds Jesus (Arabic: عÙس٠`ĪsÄ) to have been a messenger and a prophet of God. The Qur'an gives him the unique title of the Messiah. According to the Qur'an, Jesus was one of God's most beloved messengers, a precursor to Muhammad, and was sent to guide the Children of Israel.
Christians are wrong. Jesus's lord and my lord is one, God Almighty.
How will you be when the son of Mary descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur'an and not by the Law of the Gospel. Sahih Bukhari 4:55:658
"That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them." Qur'an. 4:156-159

jesus wasn't a god,he was a man who could see god, speak to god and hear god.How many people here can do that ?
His purpose was to serve god. To bring knowledge and truth to people. All people !
He was also a jew, a jewish messiah. No difference between races, beliefs, no punishment but forgiveness and love was his thought and goal,a goal which he was unable to live to see fulfilled, but left a great deal of it to people who are open to his words.
We should learn from christ ,not critisize his work.

He wasn't even that. An omnipotent God does not need a mouthpiece; he would clearly be able to communicate directly with each of us if he chose to.
Jesus was a great, moral philosopher.

Messengers of God do not lie...Jesus claimed to be God,himself....
And Jesus said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning” (John 8:23-25).
Jesus in his ministry often took the time to explain to the people who he was and why they needed to believe it. He told them that he came down from heaven, that he was the only one to see God. That being the Only Begotten Son of God made him equal with God (John 10).
The word he is not in the original; it is added into the text and actually reads for if you do not believe that I am you’re dead in your sins. This is crucial because you are not a believer if you do not believe who the Son of God says He is. One of the most important statements was unless you believe I am [he] you will die in your sins. Here Jesus is quoting the Old Testament identifying who he really is and fulfilling I AM is the name of God introduced to Moses. God said His name to Moses as, “I am who I am” (Ex. 3:15).
