You only write stuff so someone can read it. These days no one wants to hear about 99% of what anyone has to say because it is either crap or it has been said already. So why bother.

Wow. It looks like your education has taught you not to write. How about an explanation for this question? I think the answers you will receive depend entirely upon the level of education the answerer has sought or achieved. I enjoy writing. The higher level of education I reached, the better I learned to write, the more I wrote, and the more I liked it.

depends on what you mean. Literally to write YES! Pretty much everything from high school and college nowadays is typed. The actual sitting and writting just isn't done anymore. Now kids sit and email and instant message which is WAY less formal. The typical rules of spelling and grammar just don't apply to the internet like they do to a theis or a formal letter. Metphorically yes and no. I didn't really discover the right and wrong way to write until freshman year of college. As far as writing for change, no one ever writes letters to leaders anymore, they just send an email or call them. So yes our society has lost something extremely valuable. However there is one group of people in America that are great at writing letters, it's how they survive for months on end. It's the military wife, emails are geat but a tangible letter makes us so much closer to our husbands. Hopefully that answered your question. I wished you had been a little more specific in what you meant.

I use spell check and grammar check because my public school elementary and HS education DIDN'T focus on that or geography. I had to teach myself where countries, states and capitals are.

The No Child Left Behind is a joke, a farce and the current administrations way of ignoring a problem plaguing this country where MANY don't even speak English at all. View the statistics. How many kids can accurately learn anything when they spend TWO straight months forgetting what they learned during the course of the school year due to Summer Vacation? Then they spend another TWO months in review to re-learn what they forgot during the beginning of the Next school year.

USA is a nation of making education lower on the priority list than Vacations. Check HOW the Senate and Congress spend their summer vacation!!

Left behind?? You bet!

It is obvious your education has let you down by looking at your question that should be rewritten to make more sense.

But, it is not nonsense. I feel you get out of your education what you put into it. If your mentors and teachers let you down and you have the desire to learn, you will find a way. That is not to say that a good learning environment that encourages literacy is equal to an environment that is full of mentors and teachers that will let you down. It is to say that individuals can have powerful effect on their own betterment.

Education is not a teacher. It is a product and a process. Writing was always stressed through all the years I was a student. I was an English major in college I teach language arts.

Being educated has helped me to construct sentences properly. But some of the books I have read have been riddled with run-on sentences, sentences with 300 darn words with no commas, semi-colons, etc. and were just badly put together.

Decode this lyrics " Where do I begin"
Ever wonder living human kind do not even know how to create living words but can only write ghostly and deadly words in making a mess out there with living human kind living in misery in planet of apes?
Do not even know how to create a living language too in planet of apes.
When living language and living books was handed down by our creator in planet of apes.

Absolutely. Sentence constructs, voices, and tenses, were all simplified for scientific purposes.
