My allergist told me to use soy milk instead of regular milk. I seemed to have some allergies to that. But I think I have worse
ones with soy. Just wondering if anyone else has had any kind
of reactions.

I grew up drinking soy bean milk and never had any problem until 2 years ago. Now every time I drink soy bean milk my tongue, throat, and lips itch and get swollen. Few years ago I also started to be allergic to some fruits - peaches, cherries, pears, apples, plums, and etc. It's terrible!

When I was born I was allergic to milk and my mother gave my soy milk instead. Ironically, it turns out that I'm allergic to soy too. I don't throw up with soy, but I have a reaction as I would with the other things I'm allergic to. My tongue, lips, and throat become itchy, my throat swells, and I have trouble breathing.

I haven't, but I suppose anything is possible. As I understand it, it's rare to be allergic to it. Just a suggestion for you: When you drink the soy milk, make sure you're not combining other milk products with it. THAT MAY BE the problem. If it continues, talk with your doc. They need to know.
