I have experienced this for real for the past 34 years. Not because I'm good, but because God is.

Man's wisdom falls short: it can't explain all the mysteries. Not even the physicists or philosophers can. They just run into more and more questions.

Thanks for the beautiful quotes!

Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Wisdom, according to the Bible is personified as a woman (so is folly) and she is generous and hard-working. She is aware that some are simple and she invites them to listen (Proverbs 8 and 9) to her and gain understanding. It will add years to your life and you will not suffer alone, like the mockers do.

How much wisdom do people get from TV? Or from breaking pursuits up into so many pieces with money used as the incentive to try something new?

2 Corinthians 2:17
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.

The existence of thirst implies the existence of that which satisfies it, water. The existence of hunger implies the existence of that which it craves, food. Likewise spiritual thirst and spiritual hunger imply the existence of a Deity and supernatural order of satisfaction.

Seek God and you will find above and beyond your doubts and expectations. Doubts are just as unreal as any other man made thought. Learn to doubt doubt, not just faith. Then you will have come full circle. Then you will not be a one winged unbalanced bird flapping around endlessly unable to fly.

"A little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion."

My thirst is quenched by the water the Lord gives me

The thirst for truth is unquenchable. One must never stop looking for truths, and one must never rest too comfortably in the arms of chapter and verse, at least not without continually questioning and analyzing.

What you are quoting IS man's wisdom.

Noone is quenched except those who are certain of the truth. Noone should ever be certain of the truth, because noone knows.

It is arrogant for a human to think that they could possibly know what God thinks.

Speaking for God is blasphemy.

I seek wisdom, not truth.

"Man's wisdom" is all there is. However, some people mistake books written by people for ones written by supernatural fictional characters. Not very wisdom-y, is it?
