I wish I did. My dad died and I feel like he has gone forever. When pets died previously I didn't feel the same. I felt like they were still there, before. Now I feel like they have all gone forever. Maybe I am still a bit screwed up over my dad. It was only a year ago.

The Bible does not specifically say whether people can look down on us who are still on the earth. It is highly likely that they cannot. Why? One, they would sometimes witness us sinning. Two, they would sometimes see things that would cause them grief. Three, people in heaven are so occupied with worshipping God and enjoying the glories of Heaven that they truly have no interest in what is happening here on earth. The very fact that they are free from sin, in heaven, and in God’s presence is enough for them to be happy. While it is possible that God allows people in heaven to look down upon their loved ones, the Bible gives us no reason to believe this actually occurs.

I absolutely do, my Mom died when I was 11. One night my little sister and I were walking to meet our friend to stay the night at our house, and my sister said to me, we gotta get home before Dad realizes the street lights are on. As we were walking past the cemetary where our Mom is buried a street light went out. being supersticious we ran to our friend. As we told her the story on our way back Amy pointed to the street light and it went out again. We lost our Dad just a few short years later and as time has gone by and we retell that story at some point during the telling of the story a street light goes out. Sometimes when I'm feeling down or just missing my folks I'll take a drive and think about whatever is on my mind, I'll talk it out with myself and at some point all I have to do is look up and if a light goes out, I know they are with me in my thoughts.

Yes. While not a true believer I think they do when we call on them. For instance my mum passed away on Aug 06 by Feb 07 I had hit a real low so much I was frightened to get out of bed. Then out of the blue - bunny her cat jumped on my bed with a small white feather attached to her fur (supposed to be a sign that you are being cared for by an angel appointed to you or by the deceased themselves. True or not it's a nice thought - Love and thanks for everything Ma! (including the feather) !JMACD

at the same time as my darling Dad died I wondered if he'd be observing over me. I then idea that it does no longer be a superb reward for a staggering Christian to be observing the mess that the global is, and to be certain the blunders I make. i imagine he's waiting for me to affix him, yet won't be able to be certain what's occurring the following. i do not imagine we grow to be angels after we die as there have continuously been angels and they have particular jobs. Jesus nevertheless talks to human beings on the earth in the present day. Oh and "each breath you're taking" grow to be written about someone stalking an ex lover.

I believe that they are in Heaven praying for us. I kind of find that ironic because I was raised Catholic and as most people may know, they believe that WE can pray the dead into Heaven, which I know now is imposible if they had not been saved before they died. But it occured to me not long ago that those we new who were saved probably are watching over us and praying for us to help us through or trials.

No I don't. I know all evidence points to life being finite and I am comfortable with this. It makes it precious. I keep their memory alive by getting involved in something that they would have wanted (charity) or something similar.

The memories, the experience of their life, is precious enough without me feeling that I need to believe something which I think there is no reason for. I think I should honour their life, not their death.

Yes because I have seen and spoke to them
and they are just as alive as you. When I spoke to my step father I asked how his eyes were because he had been blind for years and he told me they were perfect. I could say a lot more but I wont. There are a lot of people out there like me, too frightened to speak out.

I believe that they are not only watching over us, but are involved in our lives through prayer. They now see what we don't and go to the Father Jesus on our behalf. Love Never dies.

Your main problem is that what you "believe" is NOT in line with what God's Word really says if one does not take verses out of context. First in Gen.2:6 it says God breathed into man the breath of Life and man BECAME A Living soul, notice God DID NOT put a soul into him but HE BECAME, okay for your information also in in Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun.
Also Jesus Himself called death A sleep Notice what Jesus says in John 11:11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
11:12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
11:13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Also notice what God's Word says in Acts.2:29 & 34 says david is dead and not ascended to heaven. Jesus said Himself after His resurrection to the first person at His tomb John 20:17 that He HAD "NOT" yet assended to The Father, the dead know not anything. find out more about what you only think you know free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless
