the hairs on your head have a 7 year cycle on average they grow for about 6 years rest then fall out. pubic hairs have a much shorter cycle only growing for about a year before falling out (not all at the same time) so dont have time to grow as long

Just wondering why you would want it to grow longer? You know you would so be tempted to braid it, dye it, or style it. And then you would have to show it off, because of all your work, so you would have to walk around naked all the time, and that would just be wierd. Its for our own good that it stops growing at a certain length.

I just learned it's something called androgenic hair --- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_hair The appearance of androgenic hair is caused by the rising level of androgens due to puberty that causes a transformation process of vellus hair into terminal hair on several parts of the human body. The hair follicles respond to androgens, primarily testosterone and its derivatives. The rate of hair growth and the weight of the hairs increase. Different areas respond with different sensitivities. As testosterone levels increase, the sequence of appearance of androgenic hair reflects the gradations of androgen sensitivity. The pubic area is most sensitive, and heavier hair usually grows there first in response to androgens.

Areas on the human body that develop terminal hair growth due to rising androgens in both sexes, men and women, are the axillary hair and the pubic hair. In contrast to that, normally only men grow androgenic hair in other areas. There is a sexual dimorphism in the amount and distribution of androgenic hair, with males having more terminal hair (particularly facial hair, chest hair, abdominal hair and leg and arm hair) and females having more vellus hair, which is less visible. The genetic disposition determines the sex-dependent and individual rising of androgens and therefore the development of androgenic hair.

Just think what a nightmare it would be if they grew any longer! They would get in the way of daily life and would even make some people trip up and get stuck in machinary. Maybe its natures way of stopping this happen. Yuk.

ages ago people used to do gay sh!t with their long pubes, like pleat them and sh!t. This put women off, and darwinism caused nature to physically stamp out this evil by stopping growth up to a point. This has improved the gene pool no end.
