depends how long its been out. probably a couple of three hours would be okay, but be careful it is tomato based which needs refrigeration.

This is a fresh, homemade sauce! That sauce is pretty fresh, since you just made it (and I'm sure it was covered)... it's fine! On occasion, I've made sauce in a pressure cooker (cuts my usual 5-6 hours of simmering down to aoubt 20 mins), and intentionally left it out without breaking the seal of the cooker as it cooks a little more. I got that idea from a cookbook I'm sure it was hot for a while, and took a while to even reach room temperature, which actually cuts down the time it was left out. Your fresh sauce is fine.

Pasta sauce will last up to 2 days in the fridge. If you freze it, it would last about 4 or 5 months. It should be ok if it's just overnight

No! Don't even go there! Pasta sauce must be refridgerated after opening, or if made fresh, within a reasonable amount of time (maybe two hours). I wouldn't risk it.

cut up some uncooked garlic and swallow it. this is been familiar to dodge nutrients poisoning sometimes. yet while it develop right into a tomato-based sauce, you're probable ok. Microbial nasties do unlike acidic environments.

Yes, as long as it's not yet off. You can tell by it's smell and taste. Bad smell and sour taste means it's off. And if you boil the sauce it means that it's off when there are bubbles on top.

I'm guessing it's spagetti sauce...? Well when in doubt throw it out. Never take a chance.

I'd have to say no on that one. When food sists out at room temperature, it is highly susceptible to many types of harmful bacteria. Just to be safe, throw it out.
