Armed forces demoralized, stretched thin. Also, people would be less willing to support a real war that actually should be fought because Iraq is such a disaster.

No. It is those left wing wackos who are cheering the enemy.

Please define "Real War" and then maybe I will understand your question.

I believe that the real problem with Iraq is that we underestimated the "Civil War" aspects involved and got caught in the middle.

Sadamm ruled with an IRON FIST and with his removal many factions were liberated to build on their own idealology; good or bad, but much self serving to reach PERSONAL POWER for a particular individual or group.

You should probably study the past wars to gain some understanding of why Iraq is so different.

In the wars that were "WON" countries were brought to their knees or obliterated with ATOMIC BOMBS, relentless bombing raids and soldiers on the ground.

With the current wars the US has to be more selective in an attempt to NOT KILL non-combatants; do you see where I am going here?

The US certainly has the capability to turn the ME into a 12' deep coke bottle and just be finished with it. The same theory was presented in Nam; "Nuke them all and let the Lord sort it out".

We tried to do it surgically to MINIMIZE civilian deaths, what civilians, and it didn't work.

A mass conventional bombing (NON NUKE) would kill a MASS of civilians and cause a HUGE clean up project. Other non-stable countries would step it up to Nukes and we would be in a SH** STORM with NO WINNERS!

Most people do NOT understand "Rules of Engagement" and the split second decision that has to be made to be effective.

I can't even imagine the PRESSURE the ground troops are under to make the RIGHT DECISION or be killed because they thought about it for an instant too long.

THINK about the differences and your answer will become CLEAR.

That's what you think. You forget, there is a very good chance that the draft may be started back up again and that puts you in a position to be in the military which makes you scared. Clinton screwed the military. During Bush's reign, the enlistments have gone up. If you'd like to join then do so but your lieberal brothers are trying to make it so the military doesn't have what it needs to get the job done. THEY ARE GOING TO GET OUR SOLDIERS KILLED then blame it on Bush like everything else they do.

Less willing? And whats your definition of less wiling, I haven't seen any mass desertions, units refusing orders, returning soldiers standing on the white house lawn protesting, so how did you come up with less willing?, Hmmm All the services made there enlistment quotas, for many months as a matter of fact!

The number of enemies and places to go have dropped to six and three of those are tied up in world diplomacy efforts. The U.S. is already in Iraq and Afganistan and the only Syria has basically escaped diplomatic efforts in their efforts to control Lebanon and attack Israel.

The Armed Forces aren't "demoralized" if you actually talk to our Troops and not listen to the media.

Are you one of the American Forces?

I doubt it.

Then how do you know we are demoralized? Did you make it up?

I think so.

Any nation can make war, so no he has not. However, he has severely crippled our ability to use military force as a political option; and he has given Al-Qaeda advantages in terms of its own popularity and strength, as well as its ability to strike against America that it never had before.

no attack on us soil since hardly makes it a disaster and the only one demoralizing the troops is ..."its a failure bucko"

Bush has destroyed America's ability to continue in its role as a global peacekeeper and world leader. He has squandered TRILLIONS of taxpayers' dollars on an immoral, unconstitutional, and illegal war that was started for his own personal selfish reasons: to satisfy a vendetta his family had against Saddam Hussein; to enrich his friends in the oil industry; and to revitalize the giant military-industrial complex in America, which needed a new 'war' to boost profits.
Bush has killed almost 700,000 people (Iraqi citizens and American soldiers) to achieve these three objectives. He and his cronies should be tried for high crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - should be hanged just as he arranged for Hussein to hang. -RKO- 04/21/07
