The concept of virgin birth is not possible science hasnt advanced even that far yet.
Mary had sex with a man whoever that was and gave birth to a child. Make of that what you will but I reckon its impossible to get pregnant without semen and that has to get into a female body somehow.
The virgin birth was a myth of that time which has perpetuated over hundreds of years.

Well, for one thing the enterprize was not in the right position.
And Capt. Kirk was busy removing some kligons. Bones had taken sick. Scotty was working on a warp speed module malfunction. The teleporter was down for repairs. Etc.

Star Trek was not around for early Christians to steal the concept of telleportation, so they stole instead the idea of a virgin birth from ancient Pagan Gods like Attis, Dionysus, Osiris, and Mithras... all of whom where believed by their followers to have been son's of God born of a mortal woman.

Remission. Without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sins. You remit a coupon when you use it at a store. You exchange the coupon for money off of a particular item. He had to take the form of man through a Virgin to be the sinless sacrifice that God requires for selfishness (or Sin). In the Old Testament they use to sacrifice the first and best to God upon the throne for remission of sins. So then Jesus became the first and best of our flock (mankind) to be able to sacrifice himself to God on our behalf. "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever should believe on him will inherit eternal life". He had to come through the womb of a pure woman (virgin) without the introduction of sinful man into the element to be the perfect sacrifice unto God. He is our coupon on judgement day.

Sex with a virgin is a beatiful experince and we know she did have sex (even though she was a virgin before the sex) by the fact she made a male child.
She needed a y chromosome to produce a boy and these don't exist in women, it's only transferred from males.
