I recently got into a car accident, I rear ended somebody and I know I'm at fault. The glare from the sun made it impossible for me to see their taillights, is it possible for me to accept the fine costs and have the points be waived?

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Call the INSURANCE agent, and let them deal with the lawyers and stuff - they can do some miracles to save from paying out some money.

Get a FREE CONSULTATION with a lawyer, and tell them EVERYTHING - they will advise you.

Don't just ACCEPT fault, even if you did it on purpose (I'm not saying you did), let the insurance people handle it - that's why you pay them.
