It is her attitude that is incorrect. She has not truly recognized her sin and repented. Without that, asking for forgiveness is meaningless. Repent literally means to turn around, in other words cease going in one direction and go in the other. No sex without marriage. Her behavior falls under lust, fornication, adultery.
Ephesians 5:3-5 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person- such a man is an idolater- has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

This is a very, very common, perhaps universal practice. It stems from a misunderstanding of what repentance is, which itself has been promoted by certain Christian interpretations of the Bible, that a sinner repents with his words instead of with his heart, his self, and his acts; some Christians even consider repentant "acts" to be contradictory to God's grace. However, the Bible is clear that sinners are to present to God "fruits worthy of repentance".
Because merely "asking for forgiveness" does not entirely stop a sinful practice, we can know that such "asking" is not sufficient to be called repentance.

Don't think that is what God had in mind. You see, when you are a born again christian, you don't want to do those things anymore so, I would say she is using that as a crutch. You cant keep sinning and asking forgiveness for the same sin over and over again.

this is an exciting question. i do no longer understand what a guy or woman who has divorced and remarried could do; i think of this is something each guy or woman could ought to take up in my opinion with God. yet no, if a guy or woman contains on their comparable life-variety they have not extremely repented, it says in the Bible that if somebody retains on sinning after receiving understanding of Christ there is not any sacrifice left for his or her sins. that would not advise that Christians will never sin back after accepting Christ, only that they should stay with a zeal to thrill God and do His will.

Mya, your friend is really asking God to make her fornication OK. I hope you can see that that is just plain silly! I hope you can make HER see it too. To be forgiven, she needs to actually and sincerely repent--that means to try one's very best to forsake the sin and leave it behind forever. In her case it might mean leaving the boyfriend behind as well. That would be a very cheap price to pay, for getting away from a strong temptation that could imperil her soul.

Forgiveness requires contrition plus authentic repentance.
Catholics have a bit of en edge, due to the power of the sacrament of reconciliation, which, in most cases, ASSUMES that repentance is likely to follow contrition.
In any case, your friend has a problem.
I suggest matrimony.

Your friend should repent... turn from the sin. If she cant, she should get married. I consider this as being pre-meditated, so I don't see it as true repentance, and turning from the sin.

I do that regularly.
And if you get saved and kneel at the Baptist preacher's altar, and do the special incantation, you get saved, and can still sin. It's all good.
