He will be very enthusiastic about certain aspects of your relationship (if you get my meaning). Just humor him and let him get it out of his system. He'll be fine in a month.

They say there is always a transition period, like a romantic period that comes with him coming home, there is also a change of command period, were you have to allow him back into the fold, because you were the main disaplinary (if you have kids) and now he and you will share the responsibilities again and thats a tuff time. sometimes they take over to fast. too soon, my husband tried to do things military and then there was the war zone transition, my hubby wanted to keep his weapons (the ones he collects) close to him because he slept next to his weapon for six months, he was getting up at 4 in the morning and going to bed at 11AM, he was still on Iraqi time. I also had to deal with his new sleep pattern, he jerks in his sleep and flinches, and rocks, a side effect of war. I am not saying this will happen, just look for it, just incase. Transition can always be a romanitc period, just like when you just got marriade.

Of course he's gonna act different. He's probably going to be more affectionate towards you...He hasn't seen you in 8 months. If he's been stuck in a sub take him somwhere that doesn't involve small spaces with lots of people. He's stuck with hundreds of people in a small space and you want to avoid that.

whoa... not gonna touch that with somebody else's ten foot pole!! :)

Just be ready for a guy that will be used to a petty set routine in his life, and might take some time to 'relax' from the 'gotta do something' all the time feeling.
