That all depends on -
Where you live in the U.K.
If the bike will be garaged.
If it has any security devices.
What you do for a living.
If you will use the bike to go to and from work.
How much excess you are willing to pay.
If the bike is modified.
In truth, there is no such thing as a 'cheapest insurance company' With so many variable factors, what is cheapest for one person, will not be the cheapest for another.
The best thing to do, is get a copy of M.C.N., turn to the insurance ads at the back and phone everyone with an 0800 (Freefone) number. It'll take you a couple of hours or so, but you WILL find the cheapest insurance for you (I've done exactly that for the last 25 years, by the way...).
Good luck!

Try www.bikesure.co.uk they search insurers for you. It will give you an idea how much it will cost. Each insurers rates can vary greatly, my son has had bikes since he was 16 and every year we check different prices. You will also have to decide if you want extra i.e. legal porotection, breakdown recovery etc. these are usually added on at an extra cost.
