Hi, Im erica and im Emo, I dress preppish cause of my Charents (childlike parents). How can I show my emo with my charents without my Charents Bickering with me?

If you are emo, it doesn't matter what you wear. You shouldn't have to dress a certain way so people will be like "Oh, she dresses in Hot Topic, she must be emo"
I have a naturally dark personality and thought I dress in abercrombie, hollister, american eagle, etc... people still call me evil! I'm just a dark person, lol.
Don't try to show off your emoness through clothing, that makes you seem like more of a poser. Wear what you like no matter where it comes from.

I totally agree with Poppet and Tina. Emo is an attitude, not just the way a person dresses. Emo attitude comes through your actions, and you act more like a spoiled princess than someone who is emotioanlly dard and depressed.

Your parent's aren't childish. You are. Either your Emo or your not. If your Emo, that would show through despite your clothes.

If you say you are emo, then you're not emo. Emo is supposed to be a genre of music, not a label or fashion sense.

get skinny, and wear a pair of really skinny girl's pants, and grow your hair out, dye it black, flat iron it so it perfectly covers ONE EYE - but not the other one, because then nobody could see you cry... oh, and get a bullet belt.
