Sorry. There is no way to "tan" with no risk. The same thing that makes you tan makes you vulnerable to melanoma... ultraviolet light.

Get a professional "spray on" tan.

Always use an SPF of at least 35. I use 50 and tan beautifully.
Stay out of the sun during 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and you will avoid a lot of the harmful UV rays. Keep that sunscreen on all the time. I put some in my liquid make-up.

I tried the Tanning Towels sold on HSN and also on QVC (shopping Networks) they worked great for me last summer, no orange skin ,no streaks, and I was able to tan allover, I had nice, tanned skin, the price was reasonable and It is not messy. They are individually wrapped moistened towelettes. I was able to dress after applying it , because they are not sticky . It worked in about an hour for me, it is much safer than the sun and tanning salons to me, because I was able to get a deep tan without the damage to my skin. I don't know if anyone sells these in the stores, but through these companies they will refund up to 30 days if you are not pleased no questions asked.

Be born with a natural tan, that's the safest way. Every other way has dangers attached.

tanning cream works really well, just make sure to wash inbetween your fingers when your done. Make sure you get all the spots other wise you will look spotty. but it works really good.
