what do the mushrooms look like that you can eat and gets you high and what do they look like help plzzz

Magic mushrooms (or "shrooms"). They look gross. I only tried them once and they didn't really do anything. They taste nasty. I don't advise trying them. They're actually a poisonous type of mushroom and it's the toxin in them that gives you the effects. Too much could possibly be lethal.

there are so many different types, and many of them look alike. An Identification book is the best way to go, but then there is still a chance that you could be wrong.

Don't chance mushrooms, there are some that are extremely deadly, find someone and ask them. Every year over here in washington there is someone that goes mushroom picking and ends up poisioning their whole family cause they thought they were picking the safe kind.
Of course they are also very tasty.

A description won't be adequate for this, because the differences between magic mushrooms and poisonous ones are too subtle. Google image search "psilocybe" to get an idea. What your local ones will look like depends where you're from though, because different areas have different species. Research the dose when you figure out what type you have, as some species are more potent than others. 2-3 grams dried is a safe guideline though I think.

I know there's a black one called "death" that is eatable and an innocent white one that is deadly. Ironic. : ) Don't do mushroom drugs they can mess up your senses big time. You'll smell colour and hear food. Bizzar. so I've heard.

dark to medium brown, and most are smaller than the garden type. Most commonly are grown in cow manure. And i have been told taste terrible. ( part of my pharmacology studies)
