I'd like to be several of them at different times in their lives and for different reasons for each. Abraham because I'd love to have faith that strong and that powerful. Moses, because I want to see what he saw on the mountain while getting the 10 commandments. Joseph, because God blessed him so that everything he did prospered and he rose to be second in command only to pharoah in all of Egypt. John the beloved because he was probably the closest friend Jesus had. Paul, because he understood so much that still confounds me. Solomon because accomplished what his father started and redeemed David's promise to God. David because he was called a man after God's own heart and was so driven to serve Him. Adam, because he walked with God and knew Him face to face before the Fall. Nicodemus, because He received the Gospel before most anyone else heard it and heard it directly from Jesus Himself. Joshua, because he got to see God in direct action on his behalf. Elijah just because. Elisha just becauser. Blind Bartemeus because the first thing he saw in his life was the Source of Life. Barabbas, because he was the first to be granted life by Jesus' death. The man on Jesus' right, crucified with Him, because he was the first to be promised to be with Him in Paradise, again by Jesus Himself. Can't begin to think of who else.

God, and I'd do things properly. Wouldn't have to repent or change my mind or make a new covenant. And I wouldn't be so obsessed with sacrifices.

OK, since people gave me thumbs down for that...how about Jesus' boyfriend, the "Beloved Disciple"?
