The psalmist says:
"For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. "
Psalm 84:10-11
I say AMEN!

Yes! I came out of a very similar relationship. People have been telling me the same thing too. They say I glow. The truth is I have never felt better or been happier in my life. Even though I now am considered one of the poor. All of my needs are always met. I have a roof over my head and food on the table God cares for me. All my life I looked for love in others who were not capable of giving me the love I desired, only He could. It is sooo humbling and sooo overwelming when I now realize how much my Father loves me and will always be there for me. Life is not always easy but I am happy and content because I know I am loved and He will always be with me and nothing will happen to me that He can not help me through.

Yes, I had a very similar experience. I changed quite radically and became a voracious reader when I was not before. There was a euphoria that lasted for a few months, but within a year the honeymoon period wore off and new challenges emerged. This is natural, I think, a part of maturity. But this process also has its rewards.
Bless you.

Just as our birth is the beginning of our earthly life, so too is our baptism the beginning of our spiritual life. And just as a baby needs physical nourishment, so do we need spiritual nourishment if we want to grow up and become mature believers.
As Catholics, we understand that sacramental baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the means by which we are born from above (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1262-1270). Every Easter, in fact, the church asks believers to renew their baptismal promises as a way of reminding ourselves of what it is that we have received and how we have received it. By renewing these promises, too, we have a regular opportunity to embrace and deepen the grace that we received when we were baptized. It is our opportunity to confess that baptism is not the end but the beginning of our faith journey.

after becoming a new-born Christian, I began to appreciate all of the good things in life more than thinking about the bad. In order to have good, there must also be bad.

you have peace! And yes better because you have guidance - right kind of guidance.
I was born into Christianity but it becomes your responsibility once you reach a certain age (choices) and when i stray it leads to misery due to consequences...remember every (again) choice has a consequence - Right or wrong / Good or bad.

i thought my life changed but i realized it was a normal revelation i had. It can give you some confidence and motivation to think you have divine right but you must be careful to think for yourself and not follow any preachers without judging for yourself the rightness of thier speech.
God is within you, listen to others but only take final authority to God.

You have found a hoax, without knowing it's a hoax; and it feels good.
I myself prefer personal honesty and knowledge.
