If the results you are looking for is being "buff" or gaining muscle mass I would suggest lifting a heavier weight so that you can only do 2-8 reps fully and slowly and doing 3 sets of "to failure" with no more than 3 minutes of rest inbetween. Your diet should also be changed to more protein which will allow more muscle to grow. If 10 pounds is already hard for you just keep on repping until failure and slowly work up, 10 pounds will only allow a little mass to grow.
If your going for the leaner look and stamina like a triathelete do as many reps as you can quickly until failure. Be careful not to overextend or go too quickly. Have less than a minute of rest inbetween sets. Your muscles will gain more stamina, but not neccesarily mass.

in case you are attempting this you're the two A: utilising too little weight and can see no result, or B: you will finally end up risky a muscle to have the capacity to take many years to get extra beneficial. in case you opt to look result expand the burden merely so which you're doing around 3 units with 8-12 reps per set and do the frenzy-united states of america of americafinal. That gets you likely the main out of your workout.

unless you are recovering from injury 10 lbs isn't going to do anything. using a load less than 60% of the 1RM will not induce any trauma to skeletal muscle. no trauma in the muscle and a low level of intensity does not stimulate the CNS, that is a recipe for no improvement of strength
