I have gone to different churches and studied different religions. I love it. I think it's necessary in order to learn all truths. You have to have a fresh perspective on things. You can't deny or accept something you know nothing about. I believe that in order to find all truth you have to learn whatever you can and then pray about it. Pray and ask God if what you have found is true. I've been to baptist churches, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. I've spoken to people about what they believe. I understood what everyone was saying, and I even became a member of a southern baptist church, but for the most part I pretty much remained a non-denominational Christian. Now I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love it, and I will remain there. Yes, if someone asks me to go to a different church I will, and I will continue to search for truth and study other religions, but as for which church I believe I will forever belong to, it is the church I'm in now. It's the only one that teaches everything I've ever found to be true through searching and praying.

I can't change my religion because it is part of what defines me, but I can open my mind to things I disagree with and seek new truths. Most people don't do this. I try to as often as I can. I have a core belief that is unshakable, and everything else I believe is based on that core, and everything I learn is measured against that core. Anything that does not fit in that core is rejected after it has been completely sifted for any measure of truth that might be found in it. I'm not boasting, just stating how I approach things I don't know. I constantly consider the possibility that I might be wrong, and everything presented to me is given equal opportunity to be true, again measured against the core belief. Because of this, my beliefs are constantly in a state of flux, because I understand I will not ever, this side of Heaven, know the full truth, so there's always more and new truths to be discovered. If I never give new things the chance to be true, I close myself off from any possibility of discovering them.

I already have...for more then a day. I was raised Methodist, attended a Baptist high school for 1 year, I attended a Seventh Day Adventist high school for the last 3 years, I went to the Episcopal church for many years and I've been Catholic for 10 years now.

I believe I'd try Zen Buddhism, because I wouldn't be forced to pretend imaginary deities are real. I don't think I could accomplish much enlightenment as a Buddhist-for-a-day but at least I wouldn't have to sacrifice my self-respect.

I have studied other faiths. We had a study group and in our group we had Spiritualists, Wiccans,Baptists, Methodists,Catholics,, Non-denominational,Pentecostals,Lutherans and we respected one another beliefs, and learned from one another. I am happy with my beliefs. We did discuss and would not allow and Darker side to be invited or studied. No Satanists, We did not want the bad vibes. Peace be with you! So let it be written so let it be said. So mode it be! & Bless you!

Interesting concept. I can handle that for a day as long as I can come back to my faith in Christ.

Hmmmm, I think I would be an atheist. They seem to have the most fun on Yahoo Answer/R&S :)
