Well, I would suppose that means that they choose not to participate. It is open to all who choose to join.

There's a few hindu questions every now and then, but I think Christians and Atheists are the real debaters on here or in the world. Hindus don't protest too much about their dogma, real life things maybe, but they see Krishna as a pretty solid dude. I went to a Hindu temple once and they were expressing their woes about how Christians don't understand that Krishna and God are the same thing. Maybe it's because Christianity thinks only they are right whereas Hindus understand that religion is a guideline for life not an absolute rule.

I've heard the word "represented" about 15 times today, referring to one segment or minority of the population being "represented" in this or that group, forum, business or government agency. What? Because x% of the population is this or that demographic there MUST be x% of that demographic in EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN?? Why? What if that demographic just doesn't give a RCH (you may email me at pvt_hutt@yahoo if you don't know what that means, but I warn you, you'll either find it hilarious or horrendously offensive)? I'm so tired of people assuming that just because the percentages don't match up that a group is automatically not equal. I'm heterosexual, and that's by far the largest segment of population I know of where sexuality is concerned and I don't go into gay/lesbian/bisexual/bi-curious places at all. I don't feel I'm unrepresented in these places at all, mainly becasue I don't give a RCH whether I'm represented there or not. Maybe the Hindus just don't care whether they're represented in Yahoo Answers, or maybe they go to AOL. I certainly don't come to answer questions here to "represent" 40 year old, white, overweight, overworked, underpaid males, or even Christians. I come to answer questions and my hope in doing so is that I might help someone find truth (their own truth, not mine). I don't care if there are "enough" Christians here, or too many, or anything else. I seek to help people, and that's my ONLY concern.

I don't know. There are many religions that aren't represented well enough on here not just the religion of Hinduism. But there are a couple of people who are Hindus such as Jedi and Heron by The Sea and another girl I forgot here name but she's nice.

There is nothing that prevents a Hindu or any other religious person to express here their opinions, comments, and questions.

Yours is the first step to the dreaded political-correctness theme, isn't it? If you want more Hindu participation then begin sending messages to those practicing the Hindu faith and invite them here.

I answered a question about the 'caste system in india'...and my perspective is not favorable..I think I said something like: the indians and their 'untouchables' caste..(that they try to keep a secret) have done more harm to each other than americans did to the native americans and blacks combined....

You should have seen how this person railed at me....And all this time..I thought them to be a peacable bunch...sigh

Maybe it's because christians are too hateful of "pagans".

They will make fun of you if you have an elefant headed god (who just happens to take that form) but will get angry if you make references to how evil their god is.
