Over-indulging in any one food is never good. Moderation in all things -- but don't overdo that, either.

No actually that's a good question. Unfortunately I don't think anyone knows the answer. Five tbsp isn't too much but it does seem like a lot to me. The deal with peanut butter is that is a great source of protein. However it has like twice the amount of fat than protein. although it has a lot of fat in it - the fat will give you a feeling of being full so you will stop eating. (low fat foods - sometimes you eat more than you should cause they don't make you feel full). Also fat is slow to digest so you feel full longer. Then there is the question of what kind of peanut butter. Not all peanut butters are created equally. Some peanut butter brands add salt, sugar and even more fat ( they add oil to make it smoother) Definitely steer clear from those. My store has a peanut butter machine. You can grind your own peanut butter so it has nothing in it but peanuts. There are some brands that add very little to their peanut butter. And there are some new peanut butters that are modified in some way to be lower in calories or fat. So my suggestion is to make sure you're getting the good kind of peanut butter. Also it would probably be a good idea to eat less. try putting your peanut butter on something. like crackers or apples or celery,

A serving is generally two tablespoons, and it is high in calories. Try cutting back a little bit, and continue eating natural peanut butter. Its definately more nutritious than the sugar packed kind!

It's pretty high fat content... So yes I would say so. And just as a point of curiosity, if you happen to be female and pregnant, eating lots of peanut butter will apparently make it more likely your child will get peanut allergy.

It also has trans fat in it which is very bad for health. It would be good to drink, now, natural lemon juice flavored water, have one orange, one apple, to counterbalance the bad staff in what you had; and after one hour, have yogurt 100 g, to help the digestion.
That's what I used to do when it happened to eat a lot. It helped me.

Peanut butter can and often does make one very constipated. you might want to eat some stewed prunes.
